The Queen Elizabeth Game Park. Full board accommodation in comfortable bedrooms, all meals provided a la carte and excellently presented. The Silverback Gorillas are very popular and need to be booked well in advance because numbers are limited to protect the animals. Excursions can be arranged in Uganda or in Rwanda. Prices on application.

Kibale National Park. Famous for chimpanzees but worth a visit for birds, butterflies, rare trees and then a visit to the wetlands. Price from £80 per day

Crater lakes. There is spectacular scenery with deep lakes like gems in the craters. Come and soak in the views from “The Top of the World”! Meals and overnight can be arranged. Prices from £5 per day depending on numbers.

Countryside tours and village life. A relaxing day enjoying the life and countryside of Uganda by comfortable Super Custom bus. Truly a paradise or as Sir Winston Churchill called it, “The Pearl of Africa.” Prices from £10 per day

Semliki National Park. An amazing place of fantastic scenery and bird life where you can cook your own lunch in the hot springs.

For the Adventurous! A trip to the Source of the Nile where there’s bungee jumping and white water rafting. Upon return to Sunrise, there’s mountaineering in the famous Rwenzoris which can be followed by Gorilla Tracking at Bwindi Forest. These cost Price on application.

Chill out for a while at Sunrise. Relax with a good book, and a glass of wine, feel the romance looking out over views of paradise, watching the sunset behind the Rwenzori Mountains, finish the evening with an a la carte meal from our chef, Sebagala followed by a film together. Price, no cost except for meals .

Then there’s much more - King Oyo’s Palace to visit, bird watching expeditions, rambles through beautiful countryside, meeting the people in the villages, helping in the schools and hospitals, singing, drama etc in the churches or helping practically with work in the trades. You will make lasting friends if you do!

The Amabeera Caves and village walk, needs to be experienced before you leave. It means ‘Breast Caves’ because the stalactites are breast shaped and drip a milky fluid! This is a real ‘eco-tour’ where we walk behind the waterfall, along jungle paths and arrive for coffee and tales of African legend about those stalactites. Price from £10 each. This can be extended a night and day with a walk through a Pygmy village, see their crafts, buy some then be collected to return to Sunrise. Again wonderful plants and fauna so bring your camera, binoculars and strong comfortable shoes.

There is room for camping. We have 2 and 3 man tents available if you wish to go trekking, and bicycles for the family if you would like to explore by wheels.

Gorilla trekking needs advance booking but other excursions can be arranged later. Prices have to be a guide only since exchange rates fluctuate and fuel prices are not predictable. Where parties travel together we offer discounts.
